Visitor assignments:

Please tell us a little about yourself, and include (1) the language you are studying and (2) why you chose it. Thank you. Happy to make your acquaintance. :-)

  1. Wow, this is great! Pretty amazing that you learned this during class - can't wait to try it this summer. Victoria

  2. Hi again Alicia. Good to see your face! I was imagining you to be a brunette with the name "Alicia". I studied Spanish in high school & college but it slipped away from me over the years. Recently I've gotten involved in our Hispanic community so I'm trying to get the cobwebs out to remember the language. Now that I'm teaching ESL I try not to speak in Spanish but I do get the opportunity to listen, which helps. The blog looks "blogorific". ?tu quires hablar in espanol en el blog? Nosvemos...-Therese

  3. Yes! Blogorific- exactly the word I would have chosen.
I have studied some Arabic, Spanish, and Latin. All of which have been a lot of fun. I love learning new languages because it gives so much insight into other people and cultures and encourages delightful conversations with amazing people. One of my favorite things about learning new languages is studying the grammar. I need to practice much more in order to develop and retain my knowledge. Blogs are a great way for people to practice with native speakers and other students- good work :-)
